First established in 1985 as Showlite Stage Lighting, Showlite Sound and Light now specialises in providing high quality public address systems, still popularly known as Tannoys, for a wide variety of events.
Our PA system packages will fit easily into an average car and they are simple to set up and use. Also being weatherproof and fully battery operated means you can literally make yourself heard almost anywhere in complete safety. Our larger package can be configured to suit many different applications, all you have to do is ask.
Whatever your sound requirements – from carnivals to conferences and from fetes to funerals – we will be pleased to help you achieve your goal. Our 30 years of experience in public address and sound reinforcement systems means we can confidently offer you sound advice … and a good deal more!
Proprietor Dave Whiting was the Professional Lighting Operator at the Spa Pavilion Theatre, Felixstowe for twenty one years and the Lighting Supervisor for the Felixstowe Drama Festival from 1984 until it ceased in 2013. He is a Full Member of the Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT) and an active member of their Safety Committee. Dave’s involvement with the world of stage lighting, public address (PA), sound reinforcement systems goes back to the 1960’s when his first play and provided the PA system for the Peasenhall Stockcar Racing circuit.
