Although in the course of our business we collect and process very little personal information nevertheless Showlite Sound and Light takes the security of that information very seriously. This Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information we may collect from you.
The information we collect:
We will collect only the minimum information necessary. This may include any or all of the following; your name, address, e-mail address, contact telephone number and the organisation you work for.
How we use information:
Our legal basis for the collection and use of your information is solely to execute and conclude a contract with you or your organisation. We will not use your information for any other purpose or share it with any other party except as necessary to fulfil our legal duty.
Information retention:
Where personal information forms part of our business documentation; for example, on an invoice, we will store that information for the period of time necessary to fulfil the documentation retention period required by HMRC and/or to fulfil any other legal requirements. After this period of time electronic records will be erased and any hard copy documents will be shredded.
Where it is reasonably foreseeable that further contracts will exist between us in the future we will store minimum contact details for a period of two years in order to simplify communication between us. After this period all information will be erased.
Any personal information collected by us which does not result in a contract between us will be erased at the termination of our relationship.
Security:
We have in place reasonable security measures to protect against any unauthorised access or damage to or disclosure or loss of your information.
Your rights:
Please let us know if your information changes as it is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and up-to-date. You can ask us to remove your personal information from our records at any time and we will do so.
You have the right to request a copy of all the personal information we hold about you in a Subject Access Request. We will take all reasonable steps to confirm your identity before providing you with or altering any personal information we may hold about you.
Changes to this Privacy Policy:
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time; for example, to keep it up-to-date or to comply with a change in legal requirements. If this will result in a significant change to the way we use your personal information we will ask your permission first.
